Peer Review Process

Vanguard: Journal of Contemporary Business Insight applies a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of all published articles. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed from each other throughout the review process.

1. Initial Submission

Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system. The editorial team conducts an initial evaluation to ensure that the manuscript fits the journal’s focus and scope and complies with the author guidelines.

2. Editorial Screening

At this stage, the editorial office checks the manuscript for completeness, formatting, and plagiarism using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s requirements may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected.

3. Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. The reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on several criteria, including:

  • Originality and novelty of the research
  • Relevance to the journal’s focus and scope
  • Methodological rigor and validity
  • Clarity of presentation and organization
  • Contribution to knowledge and practice

4. Review Decision

Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor will make one of the following decisions:

  • Accept without revision
  • Accept with minor revisions
  • Revise and resubmit (major revisions required)
  • Reject

5. Author Revision

If revisions are required, authors will be asked to revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers’ comments and submit the revised version within the specified time frame.

6. Final Decision

After the revised manuscript is submitted, the editor will review the changes and may send the manuscript back to the reviewers if necessary. The editor then makes the final decision regarding publication.

7. Publication

Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout editing, and proofreading before being published online in the journal.

The entire peer review process is conducted with the aim of maintaining the highest standards of scholarly publishing and ensuring the publication of high-quality research in the field of contemporary business and management.
